  • Innovation Is A State Of Mind

You probably know the myth of innovation as a sudden flash of insight that comes from nowhere. We read about that “aha” moment, or that light bulb turning on in the mind of some inventor or innovator, and this is true to an extent. Einstein really did get flashes of insight while shaving in the morning. However, he was of course working on the particular problems he had insight into, and he didn’t suddenly have ideas for new kitchen gadgets or movie plots.

Einsteins innovations, in other words, no matter how “sudden” the original ideas were, came from past and present mental work. It is like a singer who works at his craft for ten years and then becomes an “overnight success.” Innovative people only have “sudden” new ideas because they have habitually worked and thought in certain ways for some time. If you want to become an innovative thinker, then, why not start cultivating those mental habits?

    Mental Habits Lead To Innovation;

Problems can be opportunities: “Problem” may have a negative connotations, such as being a hassle or stressful, but any problem can lead to an innovation that improves our lives. Not knowing the time lead to clocks small enough to put on our wrists. Nasty diseases lead to sanitary sewer systems. Start looking for opportunity in every problem. Even a mundane problem like not having enough storage space could lead to a new innovation. You may just build a plywood floor in the attic, but you could invent a new type of outdoor storage unit. I once read of a story in Pastor john hagee's book on life challenges your opportunity, he wrote of the story of an uncompromising business man who refused to sell his spot to a new company that was buying off all houses and lands in that region, so this unwillingness lead to a series of actions against the small business owner aimed at closing up his store, the one that could have been a problem to many was the grand opening when the whole place of the small business owner was surrounded with the banners of the big business owner which reads grand opening but the small was able to see an opportunity through this problem to advertise his products which is, at his own store he put the words all round“ MAIN ENTRANCE" , so everyone who enters and gets there and sees it would enter his store and explore his shop. Powerful Right .

Innovation begins with understanding the key elements:
Metal, wood or glass are not key elements of a door to an innovator. A way to get in, a way to keep others out – these are key elements. Begin with these, and soon you’re imagining new ways to make a door. You could design a door that is opened by your voice (nice when your hands are full), or one that shuts and locks itself when anyone else approaches. Think of the key elements in things.

    Attitude helps innovation:
The creative problem-solving technique of concept-combination involves combining two ideas to see what new idea or product results. The crucial point is that you assume there will be a useful new idea. Starting with that assumption, your mind will work overtime to produce something. A shoe and a CD have nothing to do with each other, but it took just a minute to imagine a CD player with headphones that only plays the music correctly if a jogger maintains his ideal pace. When you assume there is something there you’ll often find something.

    Playfulness helps innovation:
A playful mind is a creative mind, and while high IQ doesn’t correlate with creativity, put it together with playfulness, and you have an Einstein. Remember, he imagined himself riding on a beam of light in order to arrive at his theory of relativity, one of the greatest invention of all time. Why not start playing with ideas and things, in your mind and in your surroundings. Innovation should be fun.

To conclude this the most important aspect of innovation is the implementation aspect, taking your thoughts from abstraction to application. When Einstein announced his theory of relativity in 1905 and 1916 they were just great awesome ideas. But when it was applied by scientist in the development of the nuclear reactor in 1943 and the nuclear bomb in 1945, the real power was seen. power requires application.
finally, presence of Gods spirit in a man can make all the difference in his life,if you are not yet connected with God you must do so now for you to live and lead a fulfilling and innovative life.-
    -Job 32:8- GOD BLESS YOU.

  • The 7 principles To accessing Your Creative power

Here are 7 ways you can instantly access your natural creativity and create anything you like.

    1. Think Like A Child. As adults we tend to think in a conditioned way aimed at showing how clever we are. Yet, as children, we were simply spontaneous and far more creative in our thinking. To re-capture your childhood curiosity, allow yourself to just wonder at things, to be completely present in the here and now, and to detach yourself from what you thought was real.

    2. Make New Connections. To be innovative doesn’t require a university degree; it simply requires making a connection between existing ideas. For instance, did you know that ice cream was invented in 2000 BC yet it took another 3900 years for someone to come up with the idea of a cone? It’s when you take two seemingly unrelated items and use the spark of creativity that genius happens. conviction about his abilities (Joseph) caused him to convince a prisoner like he his that you will be out of here but remember me when it goes well with you, that's new connection. innovation is not found in things but within you it is not what you do with what you have it is how you see what you have , going beyond specification and engaging your instinctive ability to define things in new ways.

    3. Be A Little Illogical. It is a peculiarly Western trait to want to tie things up in neat bundles. We prefer solutions to problems, and answers to questions. To be creative, you need to be comfortable with things that don’t fit. The Eastern tradition is more in tune with incongruence. As in this Zen koan, or problem: what is the sound of one hand clapping?

    4. Laugh More. Tom Peters says that the creativity of a workplace can be measured by a laughometer, ie how much it laughs. Humour is one of the greatest creative devices. It jolts us out of our normal patterns and puts ideas together that shouldn’t go together. It has been found that after listening to comedy tapes, students’ ability to solve problems rises by 60%. God himself laughs -(Psalm 2:4; 37:13; 59:8) He (God) laughs particularly when things are not going as expected, any ways he his the almighty.

    5. Think Outside Your Limits. Many of the products we take for granted today are the result of people thinking outside their limits. John Lynn recalls attending a computer conference in the 1980’s at a hotel when someone joked that the next thing they’d be thinking of would be computerised doors. When he went back to the same hotel 20 years later, all the doors used computer-programmed key cards. Joseph adapted to prison life but never adopted to it, this can also be seen in how he responded to pharaoh cupbearer that was restored ( Gen.40:14) he thought outside the limit of the prison. He envisioned a life better than the present.

    6. Adopt and Adapt. To be creative doesn’t require blue-sky thinking. You can still be creative by adapting what works elsewhere. An American airline that wanted quicker turnarounds on their flights adopted the techniques of Formula One pit crews. Another source of ideas is nature(Job 12:7-10) Georges de Mestral adapted the way certain seeds stick to clothing and invented Velcro.

    7. Remember Your Dreams. Dreaming and day-dreaming can create a rich seam of ideas, because that’s when we relax and let the subconscious mind work by itself. The Roffey Park Management Institute calls this “washing-up creativity” because most flashes of inspiration come when we are walking the dog, sitting Archimedes-like in the bath, or doing the washing up.

Apply these 7 creative thinking techniques and make them part of your daily thinking and I guarantee that new solutions to your problems will open up to you with ease and speed. Remember God must be factored into your process of thought first for there to be alignment. God Bless You.

  • Inspiration

What does the word inspiration mean? I look at the word and break it into two parts: “in” and “Spirit.” To live an inspired life, then, means to be “in Spirit” all the time – to be in tune with the magnificent presence of the Higher Self within you. Where in effect, the mind is open to everything, and attached to nothing. We are all derived from an organizing intelligence no matter what religion, nationality, or belief system, that divine spark resides within everyone even if the person is not currently aware of it. To put things in perspective , to worship God effectively you must be inspired( John 4:4),

    Therefore, this organizing intelligence is the place from which we all derive inspiration – in -spirit. An inspired life is finding a way to live in harmony with the divine intelligence with every thought you have. To live at all times in spirit and feeling yourself when you are disconnected from spirit. The key is being in touch with that divine source within which is inspiration. Living day in and day out, watching every thought and knowing that you have left spirit when you have a thought that does not include everyone – when you become ego centered (Edging-God-Out}

Being inspired is about changing awareness of yourself as being limited, having no luck, things never working out, etc. into realizing that you are unlimited and have the potential to create whatever you truly desire if it is in alignment with the divine within. Whatever the mind of man can conceive, the mind of mind man can create. You are a perfect creation of the Divine. There is absolutely nothing that you cannot create. Have a knowing that you can create and attract to yourself anything you need to create your desires. ( Job 32:8)

Living an inspired life is realizing that you came from a divine source ( Genesis 1 verse 1)– you are a piece of this divinity, an expression of unlimited potential. In truth, you are like what you came from – we are pieces of the divine. We are spiritual beings having a human experience, not human beings having a spiritual experience. A drop of the ocean is not the ocean, but the small drop has the same qualities and essence of .the ocean.. Since the source from which we came is love, peace, abundance, unlimited, perfect health, then we also have these qualities inherent in us as humans. It is actually an insult from which you came to think anything less.

We came into existence from divinity but somehow got separated from our source and developed an ego. We began to follow the herd and to identify with accumulating things. Quiet your mind, meditate, and get back in touch with your Higher Self. ( Joshua 1:8, James 1:25)

When you are inspired, you discover yourself to be a greater person than you ever imagined( John 4:4). Realize that your thoughts are energy. It’s all about what kind of thoughts and feelings we offer up to achieve our desires which are aligned with Spirit.( mark 9:23).

  • Ever Wondered Why Everyone Except You Is Moving On -

    Four Fixed Truths:

There are fixed truths about ourselves that we sometimes don’t see or remember. What are they? They are truths that were recognized thousands of years ago, and have stood the test of time. Here are a four of them, and some ideas about how to use this knowledge .

    Fixed Truths About Self Interest:

We are self interested. When we sacrifice for others, even this is motivated by our own desires. Those desires include good feelings and wanting to see or make the world the way we want it to be. Forget this, and we become bitter trying to “do the right thing.” In order to avoid this bitterness that comes with “duty”, we need to see how being a good person and doing the right thing is just self interest.

We can also point out the self-interest of others when we want to correct their behavior. Tell a man he’s wrong, and it isn’t usually enough to change his behavior. It’s better to show him his true interest – that behaving in a better way is better for HIM. Don’t forget the normal and healthy self-interest in dealing with others AND with yourself. Remember you can't get a credit for what you didn't do. You are remembered for your works. Our lord Jesus in the last day when we appear before him we would be rewarded for our works, you get the reward not your spouse, friend, or children.( 1 Corinthians 3:13-15)

    Fixed Truths About Mistakes

We all make mistakes. The greatest man or woman alive – whoever he or she is – has done some stupid things.
This isn’t an attack on human greatness, but a recognition that it isn’t dependent on doing things perfectly. Perfectionists certainly suffer for their demands upon themselves, while others hesitate to act for fear of mistakes. Accept that making mistakes is normal, and don’t dwell on the the possibility or the reality of those mistakes, move forward. .Remember this as long as you learn from your mistakes, you will always be better than you were. Apostle Paul said working out your own salvation - its a work for life (Philippians 2:12 )

Perfection is possible with Christ but it is a thing of a life time.(2 Corinthians 7:1, Ephesians 4:12&13, Colossians 3:14)Perfection simply means whatever God says do you do.

    Fixed Truths About Learning

Our mistakes give us a chance to learn, and so avoid even bigger mistakes. Of course, we also can learn from our successes, and from the successes of others. Why not view mistakes and successes – both our own and others – as the great opportunities they are. Just seize that chance to learn more and so live better .

    Fixed Truths About Change

Probably you have seen people that appear to learn nothing from their mistakes, right? Haven’t you also known and read about those who turned their lives around? A less important truth is that people often don’t change. The far more important truth to remember, and the most important of these enduring truths, is that we CAN change. The story of the husband of Abigail is a case in point , his disapproval of Davids request for food , was an attitude that was already in him - 1 Samuel 25:25 - But the fixed truth was that he Could have made right choices.
God bless you as you give this thoughtful consideration.
